Forcepack LIMs power the baggage handling system between terminals 1&4 at Heathrow airport (UK) and also at Oslo airport in Norway.

The Heathrow motors propel Telecars which carry a bag every 1.5 seconds in each direction. Transportation time, formerly by road, has been slashed from an hour to just 18 minutes.

Baggage now traverses the tunnel, 20 metres below the runway, at 30kph (19mph). Six times faster than a conventional conveyor. Approximately 30% of Heathrow's 50 million annual passengers are transfers. "Force" delivered bags will mean a reduction in the amount of luggage missing their flights.
