Force Engineering Ltd was established in 1979 as a specialist company dedicated to the development, design and production of Linear Induction Motors and other electro-magnetic and permanent magnet products.

With over 100 years of experience in the field and over 22,000 motors and induction heaters developed and produced, Force Engineering have the skills to develop custom solutions to meet almost any application. Successful applications of Forcepack linear motors range from delicate, low speed actuators to high speed high force aircraft launch systems. We also have extensive experience in linear motor control systems, and are able to develop solutions to meet complex control requirements. We employ a variety of development tools, ranging from established circuit prediction methods and motor design tools to cutting edge 3D Finite Element Analysis.

Our production facilities and highly skilled production staff are extremely versatile, and can produce anything from a single prototype motor to many thousands of motors for a complex system. Our robust quality and test procedures allow us to produce linear motors with extremely high levels of reliability, and we are certified for various worldwide standards, including UL.

A large part of our work involves novel solutions, and our company has a strong base in research and development. Results of our in-house research are frequently published in leading journals, and we work closely with some of the top academics and institutions in the field.
